The
world-renowned Kraff Eye Institute in Chicago has performed Laser
Vision Correction with the FDA-approved VISX laser five years longer
than anyone else in the Midwest and has successfully completed more
than 19,000 procedures.
In 1991, the Kraff Eye Institute was the only eye care facility
in the state of Illinois and one of only ten throughout the country
selected to participate in the VISX Excimer Laser Clinical Trials
for myopia - nearsightedness.
Contributing to advances in the field of ophthalmology, the Kraff
Eye Institute has participated in the clinical trials as investigators
for VISX, Inc., Sunrise Technology, Autonomous Technology, Novatech
Technology and for STAAR Surgical.
Kraff Eye Institute doctors have been invited to lecture and teach
at scientific institutions such as John Hopkins, Yale University,
Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Vanderbilt. They have chaired
national ophthalmology programs and have published numerous scientific
papers based upon research performed at the Institute.
The Kraff Eye Institute continues to pioneer in the field of laser
vision correction. They were the first practice in the United States
to treat patients with the VISX WaveScan Wavefront System. They
continue to lead the US clinical trials in this exciting new laser
vision technology. Contact our laser
