is now available to you.
The FDA has recently approved a new technology that allows us to
create a unique map of a patient’s eye and enables us to do
customized treatments. Colman R. Kraff, M.D. of the Kraff Eye Institute
was a principle investigator involved in the FDA trials for the
CustomVue procedure. Dr.Kraff treated the first patient in the United
States for this trial over two years ago.
 The
Kraff Eye Institute is proud to announce the introduction of IntraLase
at our facilities.
IntraLase allows the doctors to use a new blade-free laser technology
for performing the critical first step in the lasik procedure: creating
the corneal flap. Prior to IntraLase, this first step was done manually
by our doctors using a hand-held device with an oscillating metal
razor blade, called a microkeratome. By providing you with latest
technologies, the experts at The Kraff Eye Institute continue to
strive to make your lasik experience as safe and effective as possible.
